Kristen Shults serves as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Western Midstream. In her role, Ms. Shults oversees Western Midstream’s accounting, investor relations, communications, corporate planning, treasury, and tax functions. She joined the organization in 2019 and last served as Senior Vice President, Finance and Sustainability.

Ms. Shults has 17 years of accounting and finance experience, including 12 years within the oil and natural gas industry. Prior to joining Western Midstream, she served as the Director of Tax Compliance and Reporting at Anadarko. She began her career as a consultant at Ernst & Young providing tax advisory services to oil and gas clients, which included the transformation of its tax functions through technology and process improvements.

Ms. Shults holds a Bachelor of Business Administration and Masters in Professional Accounting from The University of Texas at Austin and is a Certified Public Accountant, licensed in Texas.
