Join us on April 5th in Dallas to learn about the Permian Basin's geology from Lowell Waite.

Lowell Waite is currently a Lecturer in the Department of Geosciences and Co-Director of the Permian Basin Research Lab at the University of Texas at Dallas. He received his B.S. degree (Geology major) from the University of Michigan and a M.S. in Geology from the University of Texas at Arlington. He was employed by Mobil Oil Corporation and Pioneer Natural Resources for a combined total of 38 years, where he held several positions in carbonate research and in domestic and international E & P. In 2018 he joined the Geoscience faculty at UT Dallas to provide education on petroleum systems and better prepare students for employment in industry.

Lowell served in the United States Navy Reserve. He is a member of the AAPG, SEPM, SIPES, and the Dallas Geologic Society.
