Land Acquisition Manager (North America) at Fortescue Future Industries
Allyson Johnstone Howard, CPL, is the Land Acquisition Manager for Fortescue Energy in North America. At Fortescue she oversees due diligence, negotiations, acquisition, management, and operations of land and right of way evaluated and acquired in furtherance of project development across the Lower 48 and the provinces of Canada.
At Fortescue, she co-founded the employee special interest group, “Fortescue Women,” whose mission is to improve professional and personal experiences for all women at Fortescue while celebrating their successes and benefiting from their learnings. Women make up a significant constituency of the Fortescue Family, and the Fortescue Women committee will work to identify women’s interests within the Fortescue workplace and address those interests through education, dialogue, community, and collective action.
Prior roles include Principal and Land Manager of Howard Consulting, Acquisition Manager of Helmsman Minerals, Senior Landman of EP Energy E&P Company (formerly El Paso), In-House Contract Landman roles for Noble Energy, and Plains Exploration & Production Company, as well as independent Landwork for clients such as Noble, Samson, Chesapeake, and XTO.
Allyson currently serves her local professional association, the Houston Association of Professional Landmen (HAPL), as an advisor to the newly formed Not-for-Profit “HAPL Charities.” Previously she served in several capacities including chairmanships and officer positions leading up to President in 2018-2019.
