Join WEN Carolinas, in collaboration with Mecklenburg County Parks & Recreation, on Saturday, April 26, 2025 for our Earth Month Greenway Clean Up event at Elizabeth Park, Charlotte from 9-11am.

This is a volunteering event to clean and beautify our Little Sugar Creek Greenway. This is a family friendly event - please feel free to bring extra hands from home to make our planet cleaner and greener!

We will meet at the main Elizabeth Park parking lot off East 4th Street (1127 E 4th St) and walk along the greenway. Additional parking is available across the street at Thompson Park.

A few safety reminders:

• Please bring your own work/yard gloves if you have them as we'll have a limited supply.
• Wear long pants (and long sleeves, suggested) for protection from scratches and/or poison ivy.
• Sturdy, closed-toe shoes are REQUIRED. NO sandals or flip-flops. We recommend wearing oldershoes that you don't mind getting dirty, wet or muddy.
• Wear a hat and sunscreen for protection from sun exposure. Bring your preferred bug spray if desired.
• Bring your own water in a refillable water bottle to stay hydrated. Let's reduce plastic waste! Extra water and snacks will be provided.
