Cooler weather is moving in and so is the fun of fall! Join the WEN Atlanta members for a fun evening networking and a panel discussion with 3 women leaders in the energy industry. Come make some new friends and learn a little from others who are stepping up, balancing work and life and succeeding in the industry. Our panelists will share some of the challenges they've had to overcome and what helps them make it all work.

    Director, Construction of Southern Company

    Ashley DeLoney joined Southern Company in 2005 as a Field Coordinator in SCS supporting the Plant McDonough Cooling Tower Project. Over the next 6 years she held various roles supporting Georgia Power construction projects including contract coordinator and field lead roles at Plant Scherer and assistant to the Regional Construction Manager. In 2011, she moved to Birmingham to support the Contract Strategy group. She remained in that position until 2013 when she was promoted to Contract Strategy Manager. In this role she oversaw the contract strategy program for all Engineering and Construction projects. In 2016, she became the Project Manager for the Plant Branch Dismantlement and Ash Pond Project, responsible for guiding and managing the overall execution of the project. She joined the Engineering and Construction organization of Southern Company Gas as the Director of Construction Shared Services in 2017. She oversaw construction shared services for all Southern Company Gas utilities including construction financial analysis, federal and regulatory reporting, budgeting, contract negotiations and process improvements. Ashley was promoted to the role of Director of Construction for Atlanta Gas Light (AGL) and Chattanooga Gas Company (CGC) in 2020. In this role, Ashley leads the Construction Operations department for these utilities including oversight of all construction activities, responsibility for the construction capital budget, and compliance with federal and regulatory requirements.
    Ashley attended the Georgia Institute of Technology where she earned her degree in Building Construction Management, with a Minor in Public Policy. Ashley is a member of the Construction Operations committee for the American Gas Association (AGA) and holds a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
    Originally from Atlanta, GA, Ashley spent 4 years in Macon, GA and 4 years in Birmingham, AL before returning to Atlanta in 2016. Ashley and her husband Garrett live in Atlanta, GA with their 3 children, Jackson, Charlotte, and Asher.

    Jennifer Fennell is the Gwinnett District Manager at Jackson Electric Membership
    Corporation where she is responsible for internal and external affairs, including
    leadership, engagement, and government relations.
    Jennifer is active in multiple organizations and community groups that support
    economic development, education, and community development which include
    serving on the boards of The Gwinnett Chamber, Leadership Gwinnett, Gwinnett
    County Public Schools Foundation, Gwinnett Student Leadership Team, Gwinnett
    Police Foundation, The Gwinnett Chamber Foundation, and the Water Tower at
    Gwinnett. She is past President of the Rotary Club of Sugarloaf, where she has
    been a member since 2016. Jennifer is a member of the Leadership Georgia Class
    of 2022, Leadership Gwinnett Class of 2018, and in August 2022 was presented
    the Moxie Award by the Gwinnett Chamber of Commerce. In 2024, Jennifer was
    appointed by Governor Brian Kemp as the Thirteenth Congressional District
    Representative to the State Board of Education and also appointed by The
    Georgia Supreme Court to the Unlicensed Practice of Law Committee (UPL) for Judicial Administrative District 9.
    Jennifer graduated from the University of Georgia with both a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture (1999) and a Master of Business Administration (2020). She and her husband, Benjie, live in Lilburn with their three children, Alex, Mia, and Grant.

    Nikita serves as Director of Supply Chain Management Supplier Management and Strategic Services at Southern Company. In this role, Nikita leads supplier management & governance, supplier inclusion & sustainability, risk management, data analytics, demand planning and technology road map in enablement of company's strategic sourcing and procurement. Nikita has held various leadership roles with increasing responsibilities in areas such as Charitable Giving, Marketing, Finance, Region Operations and Regulatory Affairs/Energy Efficiency at Georgia Power & Southern
    Company.

    In the community, Nikita serves on board of National Organizations of Asian Professionals (NAAAP) and Georgia State University Foundation. Trivedi’s recognitions include Georgia State University’s 40 under 40 award and the Georgia Asian Times Top 25 Influential Asian Americans in Georgia for 2022.

    Nikita earned a bachelor’s degree in finance from Georgia State University and a master’s degree in Business Administration from Mercer University. She is a graduate of Leadership Dekalb, Emerging Leaders and Inspire Atlanta.
