Note: In addition to the tour, we will also have an opportunity to observe Mechanical Integrity Testing which will be taking place during our scheduled tour time.
About: Buckeye Fluid Solutions provides underground injection disposal and transportation services for a variety of non-hazardous waste liquids. Buckeye's UIC operation disposes of wastewater by permanently isolating it more than a mile below the lowermost groundwater.
The injection facility has two (2) Class I wells with another well in the final phase of being permitted to drill. The facility is U.S. EPA CERCLA approved with 420,000-GPD permitted capacity.
PPE requirements / recommended clothing: most of the tour will be on the periphery, so no PPE. Closed toe shoes and long pants recommended.
**Because of the number of additional people who may be at the facility the day you are planned to be there, please bring your own hard hats if you have them.**
Indoor / outdoor: The tour will be mostly outdoor, dress for the weather!
