Following a networking happy hour with light hors d'oeuvres, Ms. Schuller will speak about her experience and career path in the energy industry and the themes in in her pioneering new book. As she explains, there's a lot of myth around decarbonization—that we can do it today, that we can do it without oil and gas, that if only we had the political will, or endless resources, we could immediately decarbonize. But the real work of decarbonization will be hard, complex, and messy—which is why Ms. Schuller says oil and gas companies must lead us through a successful energy transition.
