Women's Energy Network Permian Basin is proud to offer scholarships to young women in the Permian Basin graduating high school in 2023 or currently attending college. Last year we awarded $35,000 to local students and are on track to double that in 2023! We offer scholarships to female high school seniors planning to attend college and study Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM), as well as current female college students pursuing a degree in a STEM field.
Applications will be accepted through May 7th 2023, and an awards ceremony for the recipients will be held on May 18th 2023 at the Petroleum Club of Midland. The application process requires a copy of your current transcript, and an essay written on one of the following topics:
- Who or what inspired you to seek higher education?
- What obstacles have you experienced in your path toward higher education, and how have you overcome them?
- Why do you want to pursue a career in a STEM related field?
