Our seventh Annual Luncheon & Scholarship Awards will be held on Friday, September 27th at the Sheraton Denver Downtown! This year's event once again features top women in energy, each of whom will tell a personal story that challenges audience members to take specific action with their personal and/or professional lives.

In addition to hearing from our storytellers, we'll be announcing the recipients of our 2024 Kelly de la Torre Scholarship award. This is WENCO's sixth year of distributing funds to young women in Colorado who are pursuing energy-related, secondary education. We hope you can join us for this impactful event!

She currently leads learning and development programming for Snapchat. She has experienced firsthand how stories can create inclusion on teams, increase empathy and help individuals take their next step.     In 2019, Jenny created the Operational Excellence (OpEx) department at Renewable Energy Systems (RES). Today she’s built OpEx into a team of nine high-performing individual contributors and managers who have deployed and sustained critical project management systems as well as delivered over $1M to RES’ bottom line in each of the past two years. Her OpEx team consists of data engineers, system owners and operational excellence managers all with boots on the ground experience and a passion for problem solving, collaboration and improving RES’ business.

    With two decades in renewable energy and a Masters in Global Energy Management, Jenny competently leads operational excellence throughout large-scale renewable projects and commands senior and executive-level cross-functional teams, pioneering innovation and growth. Outside the boardroom, she shares her expertise as a graduate level instructor in Renewables at the University of Colorado Denver.

    Melissa Cougle is currently the Chief Financial Officer of Ranger Energy Services, a North American focused oilfield service provider. Prior to joining Ranger Energy Services as the Chief Financial Officer, Ms. Cougle was most recently the Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Frank’s International N.V., a global oilfield services company specializing in well construction services. Ms. Cougle joined Frank’s International in 2019 leading its strategic efforts and the finance and technology organizations through the completion of the Frank’s merger with Expro Group (NYSE: “XPRO”) in 2021. Prior to Frank’s International, Ms. Cougle served as the Chief Financial Officer of National Energy Services Reunited (NASDAQ: “NESR”), a publicly-traded oilfield services provider with operations focused in the Middle East and North Africa, where she led the company through its first year as a public entity. Prior to her experience as a CFO, Ms. Cougle worked for 13 years at Ensco plc, a global offshore drilling contractor, and its legacy company, Pride International Inc., holding positions of increasing responsibility throughout her tenure across the finance, accounting and information technology groups. Prior to her departure, she served as Vice President and Treasurer. In addition to her role as CFO at Ranger, Ms. Cougle also serves as member of the Board of Directors of Tidewater Inc., an international offshore vessel company where she is Chair of the Audit Committee and a member of the Safety and Sustainability Committee. Additionally, Ms. Cougle also serves on the Advisory Board of the Energy Workforce and Technology Council representing companies across the energy services sector. Ms. Cougle began her career in the consulting and assurance practice of Arthur Andersen LLP serving multiple clients across several industries with a focus on industrials and energy. Her consulting group later became the founding employees of Protiviti, a management consulting firm. Ms. Cougle earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Louisiana State University and is a licensed CPA in the State of Texas. Ms. Cougle also holds an accreditation in Cybersecurity Oversight issued by the National Association of Corporate Directors.

    Jennifer Gremmert is the CEO & Executive Director of Energy Outreach Colorado (EOC), a non-profit organization empowering people through energy security. Ms. Gremmert has worked for numerous nonprofit organizations including, the national office of Junior Achievement, Up With People, the University of Arizona and the University of California. She has served on the Board of Directors of the National Energy and Utility Affordability Coalition and as Chair of both the Governor’s Commission on Low-Income Energy Assistance and the Colorado Utility Consumer Board. She is currently the Chair of the Colorado Clean Energy Fund, Colorado’s Green Bank. In 2017 and 2020, Ms. Gremmert was recognized as one of the Denver Business Journal’s “Top Women in Energy”. She has extensive expertise in regulatory and programmatic solutions to ensure that vulnerable families have access to affordable, reliable home energy. Ms. Gremmert received her Masters of Nonprofit Management from Regis University and her undergraduate degrees in Economics and Political Science from the University of Arizona.

    Elizabeth Howe serves as the Vice President of Business Services, which oversees the safety, compliance, people and culture, member services, and facilities functions at LPEA. She joined the LPEA leadership team in 2022 after a 30-year career in ski area operations and most recently served as the COO for Mountain Capital Partners, based in Durango, Colorado which operates resorts in the western United States and internationally. Elizabeth held similar positions at Vail and Telluride and brings extensive experience in purpose-driven leadership, organizational efficiency, project management, and customer service. Elizabeth is currently an MBA candidate at the University of Denver, Daniels College of Business. In her spare time, she enjoys skiing, biking, and watching her son play hockey.
