Join WEN Carolinas in collaboration with Mecklenburg County Parks & Recreation, on April 13, 2024 for our Earth Month - Greenway Clean-Up event at Elizabeth Park, Charlotte, from 10am-12pm.

This is a volunteering event to clean and beautify our parks. This is a family friendly event - feel free to bring extra hands from home to make our planet cleaner and greener!

We will meet at the main Elizabeth Park parking lot off East 4th Street (1127 E 4th St). Additional parking available across the street at Thompson Park.

A few Safety reminders:

• Please bring your own work/yard gloves if you have them as we'll have a limited supply!
• Wear long pants (and long sleeves, suggested) for protection from scratches and/or poison ivy.
• Wear sturdy, closed-toe shoes – REQUIRED, NO sandals or flip-flops. Wear OLDER shoes that you don't mind getting dirty, wet or muddy.
• Wear a hat and sunscreen for protection from sun exposure; and your preferred bug spray if desired.
• Let's reduce plastic waste! - Bring your own water in a refillable water bottle to stay hydrated. Extra water and snacks will be provided.
