Beers + Volunteers in OKC

Join us for an evening of volunteering with our STEM partner STEAM Engine. Network with members of OKWIT and WENOK to learn about our community of STEM leaders. We will be holding a speaker panel discussion with women leaders in our industry and discussing how we manage time between life and work. Come discuss your experience and how you manage all the aspect of your life while excelling at your career.

After the panel we will hanging around and networking with our partners at STEAM Engine. They have an opportunity to help sort activities, taking inventory of materials and organizing activity kits for students. WENOK is donating activity lessons of our STARBASE program and will be available to speak to members about the option with have within WEN. OKWIT members will be available to learn more about their spring and fall Student Retreat.

STEAM Engine Volun-Beer days are volunteer events where you can help us out by helping us pack and sort our lesson materials, and in turn, we partnered with Broke Brewing Co. to offer a 20% day-of discount to anyone who RSVP's (they offer nonalcoholic drinks too)! These volunteer days will happen on the 2nd Friday of every month (please let us know what works best for you). The event is free for anyone, so please feel free to invite anyone you know! We will be sorting lesson boxes, taking inventory of leftover and needed materials, and organizing kits for instructors and students. All activities can be performed while sitting down or with minimal lifting and walking.
