The Women's Energy Network Greater Pittsburgh Gala is a celebration of our truly outstanding members and a wonderful way to recognize them for all their accomplishments. Additionally, we are pleased to recognize the wonderful companies who uplift and encourage their female employees as they strive to achieve their goals.

Proceeds from the auction will be donated to the Western Pennsylvania American Diabetes Association in honor of Mallory Matthews.

Mallory was a beloved member of the WEN Greater Pittsburgh community who recently passed away unexpectedly. Mallory was a wonderful friend and coworker who often brought joy to those around her and will be deeply missed.

More than 1,160,000 million people in Pennsylvania have diabetes​. An additional 303,000 are still undetected. It is estimated that one out of every three children born in the United States will be directly affected by diabetes.

The American Diabetes Association's Pittsburgh office is committed to educating the public about how to stop diabetes and support those living with the disease. They have a variety of local events and want to encourage you to get involved!

Q: Why is it no longer called the "Boots and Ballgowns Gala"?

A: The decision to rename the Gala was driven by WEN Pittsburgh's desire to mark the 10th Anniversary with a fresh perspective. The rebranding initiative aimed to modernize the event's identity and align it more closely with our current vision. Moreover, it presents an opportunity to infuse the annual gathering with renewed enthusiasm and energy.

Q: What do I wear? Can I still wear my boots?

A: We encourage attendees to wear cocktail attire, tuxes, or suits! Come ready to dance! And YES, you can still wear your boots!

Q: Can I take photos and/or videos?

A: YES! Planning on taking selfies or short videos and posting them to social media? Don't forget to tag us! #WENGala2024, and tag our social media pages. Instagram tag is @wen_pittsburgh​; Facebook tag is @wenpgh​.



Q: When will the pictures be ready?

A: All media will be ready 3-4 weeks after the Gala. However, we will have a live feed of photos available during and after the gala via a QR code that will be shared during the gala to view pictures as they are uploaded. There will also be a sign located by the step and repeat on how to view photos during the event.

Q: Can I opt out of any photos and/or video recordings of myself to be used for marketing purposes of the event?

A: By attending the gala your likeness may be used in any media, including, but not limited to, photos, videos, and/or recordings to be used to promote the gala and/or future events as deemed necessary by Women's Energy Network as well as the Media Team. However, we will do our best to accommodate anyone not wishing to appear in close-up video or imagery. When attending the event, please kindly make a request with the nearest photographer or videographer. However, by attending the event, Women's Energy Network, its subsidiaries, and the media team have the right to use any image, photograph, voice, or likeness, without limitation, in its promotional materials and publicity efforts without compensation. All media becomes the property of WEN. Media may be displayed, distributed, or used by WEN for any purpose. WEN shall not be responsible for photographs or videos taken and/or shared by other event attendees.

Q: Where do I park?

A: On-site parking daily rate is $34. There are also various hourly lots in the vicinity. 

Q: Do I need to bring cash for the auction?

A: No, we are doing a Silent Auction that you will be able to bid directly from your phone on. An email will be sent out to all attendees with instructions before the gala. We will also have a sign by the auction basket table with instructions on how to participate.

Q: Will walk-ins be accepted? 

A: No walk-ins

Q: If my plans change, can I get a refund?

A: No refunds
