Angela has more than 17 years of experience with Deloitte and currently serves as Vice President of Business Development. Previously, she has served dual roles as the Audit Energy and Chemicals Chief of Staff and Houston Group Growth Senior Manager for 10 years and Regional Community Involvement Manager for 5 years. Angela is instrumental in developing and maintaining executive relationships, client development, planning and execution of marketplace eminence, and mentoring senior managers and managers.

Prior to joining Deloitte, Angela worked for The White House under President George W. Bush Administration as Deputy Director, Presidential Correspondence.

Angela serves on the Board of Directors for the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, and Women’s Energy Network Houston chapter. She also serves on the Membership Committee for Energy Workforce Technology Council, Co-Director of the Membership Programming Committee for WEN Houston, Social Media Committee for American Cancer Society’s Cattle Baron’s Ball and is the Co-Chair of the 2024 Citizens for Animal Protection Celebrity Pet Gala.

Sarah Magruder is the Owner/Founder, President and CEO of Houston-based Savvy Oil & Gas Consulting, a company that specializes in severance tax and federal, state and sovereign royalties. She launched her women-led consulting business in 2019 and has since invested in recruiting talent to build a highly experienced team that serves a broad range of E&P producers.

Sarah serves on the Texas Energy Council Board of Directors and is an active Executive Member and serves on the Board of Directors as Co-Director of Marketing for the Women’s Energy Network Houston chapter. Last 2023, she was chosen as one of the “25 Influential Women in Energy” by Hart Energy’s Oil & Gas Investor magazine; and in 2022, she was honored as a "Trailblazer" by Greater Houston Womens Chamber of Commerce.

Sarah holds a degree in Finance from Louisiana State University and an MBA from the University of Houston-Victoria. She lives on a little farm north of Houston in Montgomery with her husband, son, 5 horses and 4 dogs!

The modern architect of the energy workforce, Katie Mehnert is the Founder and CEO of ALLY Energy™ the community accelerating connections, jobs, and skills to drive an equitable energy transition. ALLY Energy is an inaugural member of Greentown Labs Houston, the top climate tech incubator in North America.

Ms. Mehnert has held global leadership roles with BP and Shell in safety and environment during periods of financial crisis, spills, divestment, and globalization. Her early career included assignments with Duke Energy, Entergy, and Enron. Her corporate path drove her to entrepreneurship to help energy companies prepare for the looming talent shortage and workforce diversity needs to address energy poverty and climate change.

She was appointed Ambassador to the United States Department of Energy in 2020 during the Trump Administration and has testified before Congress on the clean energy workforce of the future. She was most recently re-appointed by the Biden Administration to the National Petroleum Council.

Ms. Mehnert is a speaker, author, and trusted source in the energy industry. She has been published in Scientific American, Forbes, The Hill, CNBC, and CNN. Her first book, Grow with the Flow, was published in 2020. She co-authored Everyday Superheroes: Women in Energy, a children’s book focused on energy careers. Mrs. Mehnert also has appeared in Hot Money, a documentary produced by Academy Award-winning actor, Jeff Bridges and Retired NATO General Wesley Clark on the financial complexities of climate change and finance, and Dirty Nasty People, a film on the future of the energy workforce.

Katie is a four-time World Major marathoner having completed London, Chicago, New York, and Berlin. Her husband is an executive with Baker Hughes. They live with their 13-year-old daughter, Ally, in West Houston.

Kara is the co-founder and managing director of ADV Marketing. She recognized a need in the energy and industrial services space for smart, intentional, and effective B2B (business-to-business) marketing that was not currently being served. She taps into her many years of experience both in business development and owning a company before starting ADV Marketing to make recommendations that make sense for business owners. Her many years of driving successful businesses give her a unique sympathy for business development teams and owners.

Kara received her B.B.A. from the University of Phoenix, and she serves on the Board of Directors for Women’s Energy Networking Houston as the Co-Director of Marketing. When not leading ADV Marketing, she is a proud mom to four hilarious children.
