The 2025 WEN North Texas Mentoring Program is designed to empower our members by fostering personal and professional growth, career advancement, and expanded industry connections. Through a series of three interactive workshops culminating in a final mentoring event, participants will gain valuable insights, build meaningful relationships, and engage in facilitated mentorship opportunities within the Dallas / Fort Worth community.

2025 Workshops & Timeline
Each workshop includes a 2+ hour session facilitated by an executive coach, featuring interactive learning, small group breakouts, and opportunities for meaningful connections across all career levelsโfrom entry-level professionals to executives.
Workshop #1: Empowering Women in Energy

- Topic - Empower HERgy: Power Up & Harness the Power of Community
- Speaker: Christina Hillyard , Founder & Executive Coach
- Optimize your energy, foster an empowered mindset, and accelerate your growth potential. This workshop targets women of all ages and helps participates gain confidence and build community to thrive in the industry.
Workshop #2: Navigating Career Growth in the Energy Sector

- Topic - Knowing Your Why: Lessons from 35+ Years in Energy
- Speaker: Lillian Flakes, Product Marketing Leader & Global Operations Leader
- Topic - Job Search Trends for 2025: What You Need to Know to Stay Ahead
- Speaker: Elizabeth Lions, President & Author
- This workshop will equip participants with strategies to advance in their careers and identify opportunities for professional development. Senior female leaders in energy will share their personal trials and tribulations as they have succeeded through the changing energy landscape.
Workshop #3: Leadership Skills for Women

- Topic - Thinking on your Feet: Navigating Decisions in Energy Leadership
- Speaker: Sydney Barcus, Performance Improvement Leader, Business Consultant & Advisor
- This workshop will strengthen leadership capabilities, and decision-making skills in high impact roles within the energy sector. The session will feature a panel discussion with senior women leaders in energy, followed by an interactive Q&A.
Speed Mentoring & Networking Event
- December
- Location TBD
- Objective:Foster meaningful peer-to-peer and peer-to-executive connections through an engaging speed mentoring format. This event will provide an open space for participants to share personal and professional development goals while receiving valuable insights from experienced mentors.
- Format: Small group discussions, (4-6 people) each lead by a senior mentor. Sessions will last 15-20 minutes, allowing participants to rotate to new tables for diverse conversations. Topics will vary by table, offering a range of perspectives and experiences. The event will conclude with a happy hour, featuring drinks and light appetizers, providing additional time for informal networking.

WEN North Texas Members โ Registration & Pricing
For WEN North Texas members, cost is $40 per workshop or $100 for all three events. The final event is offered at no charge to all our WEN North Texas members and Chapter sponsors.
To sign up for a single session, use the single workshop ticket at checkout for any of the three sessions. To sign up for all sessions, use the "3 Workshop Program" tickets at checkout and you will automatically be registered to attend all sessions. The deadline to sign up for the full 3 session program is April 25th.
