Mrs. Dana Holden is the Vice President of Value Chain Integration for Marathon Petroleum based in San Antonio. This includes responsibility for Blue Water Marine, Loss control & Quality Assurance as well as Logistics Commercial Development. Dana has worked in the refining business since 2001. She held various analytics and trading positions in foreign crude supply and trading for over 13 years between Valero Energy and Tesoro Corporation. She continued her experience in the energy industry in various leadership roles focusing on logistics from 2014 forward for Tesoro/Andeavor. In 2018 she relocated to Findlay, Ohio to lead the Crude Oil Scheduling & Analytics team for Marathon Petroleum and was named to her current role in August 2021. While she enjoyed her time in Ohio, she is thankful to have moved back to San Antonio, the place she considers home, in January 2022.
Prior to starting her career in refining, Dana dedicated a year to community service through the AmeriCorps program in San Antonio. Through AmeriCorps, she assisted at Brackenridge High School in an ESL classroom and spent time working on special projects for the San Antonio Police Department. She was later hired by SAPD and became the program coordinator for the Volunteers in Policing program.
Dana continued to volunteer for various programs over the years while working for Valero, Tesoro, and Marathon Petroleum. Dana is also currently on the advisory boards for Junior Achievement of South Texas and KIPP San Antonio.
Dana is a graduate of St. Mary’s University in San Antonio, Texas where she completed a B.A. in English, a minor in Spanish, and M.A. in International Relations.
Dana is married to Brian and is the mother of two daughters, Devon, age 23, who attends Texas Tech University, and Brooke, age 13, who attends Tex Hill Middle School. In addition to volunteering, she enjoys traveling, playing golf, and spending time with her family.
