WEN Greater NYC welcomes you to a virtual session to meet and network with Senior Board Members. Find out how to get involved, our mentorship circle, volunteering and leadership opportunities, and future events. We'd love to get feedback from current and prospective members on events that best suit your needs!


Agenda:

  • 6:30 - 6:40pm: Introductions from WEN Board and overview of Women's Energy Network
  • 6:40 - 6:50 pm: Learn how to get involved (volunteer and leadership opportunities, events, mentorship circle etc.)
  • 6:50-7:00pm: Break out rooms with Board Members to meet and greet and discuss what members are interested in getting involved with and/or ideas for WEN to consider for 2024.
  • 7:00pm 7:15: Report back from break out rooms, Q&A, and close out


Oksana Khariv, WEN President

Oksana Khariv is an investment banker at Citigroup, focusing on energy and energy transition sectors. Prior to joining Citi, she served as an Advisor at ExxonMobil, overseeing global energy markets development efforts. Oksana studied and lived in Ukraine and the US, speaks 4 languages and has worked on projects globally. She holds an MBA from Southern Methodist University and a BA from Lviv State University. She is a founder and a board member at Omnis Foundation.

Joyce Chen, WEN President Elect

Joyce Chen is the Commercial and Finance Manager for Atlantic Offshore Winds LLC where she is a core member of their bid team developing offshore wind bids for New York and New Jersey energy markets. Prior to her role in offshore wind, Joyce spent 11 years at Shell, working across a variety of roles in business development, venture, strategy and finance. She has worked across the world and across various energy verticals.

Sophie Kapica, WEN Mentorship Committee

Sophie Kapica works as a Senior Associate in Project Development for New Markets at RWE, a German multinational energy company. Prior to her current role, she worked in development at Enel and Hanover Research. Earlier in her career, she spent time in the Peace Corps as an Agroforestry Extension Agent in Senegal. Sophie completed her bachelor's degree at Middlebury College, majoring in Environmental Economics.

Kate Fallon, WEN Membership Committee

Kate Fallon works at Baker Hughes as a Technical Project Manager with a focus on Cybersecurity. Kate began her career at Baker Hughes in 2019 in the firm's digital technology leadership program, working as a data scientist on pricing optimization and inventory management initiatives. Baker Hughes is based in Houston and is one of the world's largest oil field services companies, with operations in over 120 countries. Kate completed a Bachelor of Science in Data Science in Bryant University's Honors Program, where she was on the Dean's List and co-founded the Women in Technology student group.

Vidyu Kishor, WEN Programming Committee

Vidyu Kishor is the Director of Renewables & Grid Solutions in the Power Division at Osaka Gas USA (OGUSA). She joined OGUSA in 2022 and is primarily responsible for overseeing investments across renewable energy assets, battery storage infrastructure, and new climate technologies. Prior to OGUSA, she was the Vice President on the Investments team at Soltage, a solar & storage development company where she led valuations of M&A opportunities and structuring/execution of investments into solar & storage markets across the US. She also worked with the New York State Energy Research & Development Authority to help expand NY state's incentives in the energy efficiency sector. Vidyu holds an MPA from Columbia University School of International and Public Affairs.
